"Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for Us."

This is an original drawing I have made, it is black and white charcoal on tinted paper.  The image is 4" x 6" and the frame itself is about 7" x 9".

The image is based on the Apparition of Jesus and Mary at Fatima,

"Jesus returned with Our Lady of Fatima on December 10, 1925. He appeared as the Christ-Child standing on a cloud, pointing to Our Lady's Heart. He said, "Have pity on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce It at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation." Our Lady then put Her hand on Lucy's shoulder and said, "My child, behold My Heart surrounded with thorns which ungrateful men place therein at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console Me. Announce in My Name that I promise to assist at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the First Saturday of five consecutive months, go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary, and keep Me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary with the intention of making reparation to Me."  -  text from "http://www.fatima.org/crusader/cr18/cr18pgS
